India reached seventh position in the internet population and 3.2 crore Indians are now accessing internet despite low broadband penetration. Google India is now among the “Top 15” websites in the world due to this sudden spurt in internet usage in India. Google is now the number one internet property in the world with 77% reach while Yahoo is gradually losing the grip over internet.

1. China: 1 in every 6 internet user is from China.
2. USA: 1 every 7 internet user is from America.
3. Japan: 6% of internet population are from Japan.
4. Germany: This country represents 3.7% of internet population.
5. Britain: 3.6 crore internet users are from UK.
6. France: 3.4 crore internet users from France.
7. India: Just 3.2 crore Indians access internet. India represents 3.2% of internet population. But India will reach 3rd position within 1 year, according to estimates.
If Indian Government aggressively encourages broadband deployment, India will easily reach 3rd position in internet population. Broadband will provide huge employment opportunities for Indians and cut costs for Companies.
